OUR PEOPLE
- William Cairns (Encompass ICOE) The acclaimed Flotta Oil Terminal in Orkney is an example of his environmental work. William is Editor in Chief of the eCompendium “Offshore Oil and Gas Operations: Environment , Health& Safety Performance Management”, a critically lauded digital publication.
- Greg Coleman (FEP) Chairman and Co-founder of Future Energy Partners now over 40 years in the energy industry. In BP, he spent time as Global Head of HSSE, Head of Investor Relations, and was the Executive Assistant to BP CEO John Browne at the time of the BP-Amoco merger. Currently building aconsulting company for the future.
- Dr. Robert Cram (Safety Culture Services) With a career spanning 40 years in the oil industry, Dr Cram began as a Schlumberger Field Engineer and has a broad experience including Head of Emergency Response for BP, IT Manager for PGS Production Services and HSE Director for Anadarko Petroleum Corporation.
- Dr Gareth Davies (Aquatera) has worked as an environmental consultant for over 20 years. He has extensive experience in environmental impact assessment (EIA) and has made a significant contribution to the development of Orkney’s indigenous and internationally impactful energy strategy.
- Dr Hesham El-Meligy (Seagull PM) Hesham is a seasoned executive with over thirty-five years of experience in general management, commercial negotiations, project management, operations and P&L management He served as Vice President, Exploration and Production Manager and Operation Manager with Statoil in Norway, Apache Corporation and its two joint venture companies Khalda and Qarun Petroleum in Egypt. He is the founder, CEO and Board Member of Seagull PM
- Dr Peter Gatt (Geoscience Malta Consulting) A consultant geologist specialising in carbonates of isolated, carbonate platforms, oil reservoirs, limestone quarrying and engineering geology. Senior Lecturer at MCAST and Principal Investigator of the Hydrocarbon Exploration Research Unit. Adviser on oil exploration to the Government of Malta.
- Hassan Ghanduri (Olive Tree) has substantial operational managerial experience on onshore wells operations and management over a +30 year career working for Chevron in Angola, AGR Well Management and Total in the UK, and the Mabrouk Oil Operation and Waha Oil Company in Libya.
- Sandy Petrie (Left Field Associates) Experienced oil and gas professional with contractor, consultant and operator (staff BP) experience. Petroleum engineer by discipline, geology degree, chartered engineer consulted to most of the major and many independent oil companies. Global experience: NW Europe, N America, N Africa: Libya, lived in Malta.
- Graham Scotton (IRMC) has 38 years of experience in oil and gas developments, and their operation, throughout the world, including the USA, the North Sea, Egypt, South America West Africa and the former Soviet Union. His focus today is in providing the right environment for teams to perform, improve and effectively manage risks within the confines of today’s complexity..
- Professor Brian Smart (IRMC) is a former Professor at Strathclyde University and Head of Petroleum Engineering and Vice-Principal at Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh. He is a published expert in petroleum and mining rock mechanics. He has founded educational institutions in Dubai, Uganda and Malta.
- Rab Speirs is a seasoned executive with over forty years of experience in general management, exploration, commercial negotiations, project management, operations and P&L. His experience was gained with several Oil Companies including Conoco, Yukos and Marathon whilst working in the Gulf of Mexico, North Sea, FSU, Middle East, West Africa and SE Asia.
- Richard Stark (Starkcoast) Richard served as an Infantry Officer. Upon moving into the commercial sector Richard worked as a project manager in the oil and gas industry, primarily in decommissioning. He also offers a scaled-up drone service ultimately focused on the development of Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) drone technology
- Ronnie Steele (Petrotekno) has over 40 years of experience in the oil industry. Along with partners, Ronnie saw the need for trained technicians in the industry and created PETROTEKNO to deliver them. Operating out of Indonesia, PETROTEKNO has worked with the oil majors such as BP, Premier Oil, Impex, Conoco Phillips, and Total as well as for the District Governments in Indonesia and numerous other industries.
- Captain David Thomson (Orcades Marine) is a Master Mariner and a qualified Marine Surveyor. David has wide ranging knowledge of the requirements of the marine renewable energy sector. He has worked in the tough wave and tidal environments since the beginning of the industry in Scotland expanding to worldwide operations in South East Asia and elsewhere.
